The History of DoWaZu

I have 7 nieces and 2 nephews, all of which living in 3 separate states. Working with computers regularly for a long time now, I can honestly admit that without my automatic reminders from Outlook I would forget their birthdays every year. Not to mention my own…or those of my family and closest friends.

I’d set my reminders for 2 weeks notice, assuming this early reminder would give me sufficient time to find a gift and get it in the mail. Yeah right…maybe if I had a clue what it was the young offspring of my 3 sisters wanted. Asking someone what they want is a total surprise killer.

Personally, I keep a wish list on a couple of my favorite sports team’s websites…and have for a long time now. My family and friends know exactly what I want and where to get it. I haven’t gotten the wrong gift from anyone for as long as I’ve had this list. I’m confident those who buy gifts for me appreciate the ease of this arrangement. I know I would!!!

A couple of years back, a light bulb went off in my head…I thought; If someone had a website where I could consolidate all of my wishes and would allow those I exchange gifts with to do the same, we would all know what each other wanted. Then, implementing the reminder option using email…we would always know what, when and where…making gift giving as effective and easy as possible.

My mother is new to computers, but has really taken to email…the majority of her family lives more than a thousand miles from her, so this form of communication has been a blessing. When her only son created DoWaZu, she immediately knew all the stress over shopping for 9 grandchildren in 3 different states was over. She will always give the right gift…on time, every time.

So…enjoy DoWaZu for the reasons that lead me to create it, get out and start wishing…and quickly discover that with DoWaZu …wishes DO come TRUE!
